New Examination System

The larger context of education is to prepare futuristic citizens for a meaningful and productive life in a globalised society. To strengthen the education system a school based evaluation system by CBSE would be applicable because it facilitates the school to expand its activities to bring greater vibrancy in scholastic as well as co-scholastic pursuits.

Part-I Academic Performance –Scholastic Areas (Academic Session shall have two terms.)

Term-I April to September, Term-II October to March. Uniform assessment scheme with two terms will include half yearly & annual examinations. In every term, 10 marks periodic assessment will be conducted. 5 marks will be secured for subject enrichment activity and 5 will be for note book The written examination will carry 80 marks. The grading scale for scholastic domain is an eight point scale based on direct grading.

Part-II Co-Scholastic Activities

For the holistic development of the student, co-curricular activities in the following areas will be carried out in school by teachers and will be graded term-wise on a 3-point grading (A = Outstanding, B = Very Good and C. Fair). The aspect of regularity, sincere participation, output and teamwork are the generic criteria for grading in the following co-scholastic activities:

  • Work Education - Work Education refers to skill-based activities resulting in goods or services useful to the community.
  • Art Education (Visual & Performing Art)
  • Health and Physical Education (Sports/Martial Arts/Yoga/NCC etc.)

Part-III Discipline

The students will also be assessed for the discipline which will be based on the factors like attendance, sincerity, behavior, values, tidiness, respectfulness for rules and regulations, attitude towards society, nation and others. Grading on Discipline will be done term-wise on a 3-point grading scale (A = Outstanding, B = Very Good and C. Fair).

Grading System :

Promotion will be based on day to day work of the student throughout the year and also on the performance in the terminal examination.
